Janis Spindel Serious Matchmaking

18 Nov What I Learned From Kourtney Kardashian

I’ve watched this season of Kourtney and Khloe Take The Hamptons and I’m not ashamed to admit it. It’s a horrible show, but it’s pretty addicting. For those of you who have watched an episode, I’m sure you agree. I don’t Keep Up With The Kardashians on a regular basis, but I was curious to see what they would be doing in the Hamptons.

I’ve never met Kourtney. I’m not even sure if I follow her on Instagram. I don’t really know anything about her other than the character she portrays on the show. I’m sure she’s a wonderful person and it appears that she’s a loving mom. But, as I learned from last week’s episode of Kourtney and Khloe Take The Hamptons, Kourtney could use some relationship tips from a Matchmaker. So, here they are. Read on to see what I’ve learned from watching Kourtney Kardashian on E!

Kourtney Constantly Denies Scott Sex. Relationship Tip #1: Don’t Deny Your Man Sex!

Denying your man sex is unfair to both of you! You’re missing out on orgasms, passion, foreplay, bonding, a better night sleep, intimacy, exercise, and of course awesomeness. Intimacy is the glue that holds a relationship together. When you’re intimate with your partner, you’re showing each other that you care.

Sex is a great way to recharge at the end of each day and to break up your routine. It also keeps your relationship hot and heavy. Whether you’ve been dating for six months, or six years, don’t you want your relationship to be exciting and spontaneous?

Kourtney Is Always Annoying Scott About Something. Relationship Tip #2: Say No To Nagging

Nagging your partner makes him feel resentful, annoyed, defensive, hurt, upset, and inadequate. Need I say more? Say no to nagging and focus on only pleasant things.

Kourtney Bitches At Scott All The Time. Relationship Tip #3: Avoid Bitching

Bitching about your man, to your man, is pretty awful. It makes him feel unworthy and drags him down. Complaining all the time turns you into a negative person. It’s also exhausting. No one wants to be around someone who brings them down.  Instead of moaning and groaning at your man, appreciate what you have and realize all of the great things about him.

Kourtney Doesn’t Let Scott Forget Everything He’s Done Wrong. Relationship Tip #4: Don’t Dwell On Mistakes

Dwelling on mistakes can quickly make your relationship go sour. No man is perfect. Most men (and women!) occasionally do something wrong. When you focus on the mistakes someone has made, you’re opening the door for resentment and anger. You want to focus on positive things and avoid negativity.

Kourtney Makes Scott Sleep In A Separate Bedroom. Relationship Tip #5: Don’t Have Separate Bedrooms

Sleep is very precious; it’s something everyone needs. If you’re a light sleeper and your partner is a heavy snorer, by all means, give separate bedrooms a try. Some people believe it helps a relationship. I’m not one of them. If you care about your partner, it’s essential to want to sleep next to him. Sharing a bed increases intimacy. You should be able to cuddle with each other and talk before you go to sleep.

Kourtney Never Lets Scott Go Out. Relationship Tip #6: Don’t Keep Your Man Locked Up

Balance is needed to keep a relationship on track. Your man needs some time to himself. He has to be able to miss you. The same way you enjoy time with the girls, he likes a night with the boys. Yes, when you have children the expectations change. As a parent, you have to be responsible and set an example for your children. But, there’s nothing wrong with going to dinner and having a drink or two. The healthiest relationships are when two people aren’t together 24/7. Encourage your man to spend time with his friends. He’ll love you for thinking of his well-being.
